5. Wat Sothon

The next stop in your visits has to be the Wat Sothon temple (full name: Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan) in the Chachoengsao province of Thailand. Wat Sothon is one of the oldest temples in Thailand as it dates back hundreds of years. Known to the locals as the ‘Three Most Effective Buddhas in Thailand”, Wat Sothon has long been the spiritual destination for most of the people in Chachoengsao. People come here to pray for good luck and asking for a divine help from Laung Pho Sothon.
While it is common for visitors of Wat Sothon to seek and pray for wealth and success, the temple has also endeared itself as a shrine for seeking fertility. Such is the case that the temple as attracted pilgrims from all over Thailand to Chachoengsao just to seek the blessings and enlightenment from Luang Pho Sothon.
Locals believe that if their wishes come true, they must bring offerings such as boiled eggs, flower garlands, and Thai traditional dance performance.
